Greg Kazmierczak is not the face that most Americans would associate with cannabis. But, like many Americans, Greg suffers from debilitating back pain and after three surgeries over the past 30 years, he lost hope that things would get better.
She reminded him of their vows “for better or worse” and continued to pursue a path forward that would improve Greg’s life.
Greg went from having an active and engaging career as a facilities manager to a self-described “zombie” who slept the majority of his day. He was withdrawn from his life, unable to work and do routine household tasks and, most critically, became increasingly unable to connect with his wife, Aimee, whom he loves deeply. When things were at their worst, Greg told Aimee he would understand if she wanted to leave. She reminded him of their vows “for better or worse” and continued to pursue a path forward that would improve Greg’s life.
After many decades under the fog of opioids, Greg began to look for an alternative. He was simply fed up. He had had enough of the way he was feeling. Enough of the fatigue. Enough of the depression and everything else that went with it. After a few weeks of cannabis treatments, Greg began to feel better.
He was nervous to enter a dispensary for the first time and was unsure whether he would find the support and answers he was seeking. Within minutes of his first consultation with a pharmacist, he felt like he was in good hands. The pharmacist took a comprehensive medical background, talked through his fears and concerns and devised a plan that was unique to Greg’s symptoms and needs.
Greg feels less pain, has more clarity and energy and is hopeful for the first time in decades
During a subsequent visit with his pharmacist, Greg’s wife uttered the words that would come to define this massive shift in his life when she told him that “she had her husband back”. Today, Greg feels less pain, has more clarity and energy and is hopeful for the first time in decades that he’ll be able to live a fulfilling life alongside his love, Aimee.
